Technical categories (Strategic Recruitment Stream):

It is suitable for professionals, managers, technicians and professional technical workers who have a junior college degree or above, or have professional training and many years of work experience. BC's technical provincial Nomination program (except for international graduate and doctoral graduates) requires that the applicant's job meets the application requirements and that the employer's qualifications meet the application requirements.

International graduate and doctoral degree holders are eligible to obtain a master's or doctoral degree in a specific field from a BC university within two years of application. Applicants are not required to have relevant work experience and can apply after successfully obtaining a diploma without the need for employment. Skilled immigrants in BC include the following specific types:

  • Type of skilled labor (Skilled Worker)
  • Types of international graduates (International Graduate)
  • International graduate and doctoral graduate types (International Post Graduate)

Commercial category（Strategic Recruitment Stream ):

The BC Business Provincial Nomination Program is for overseas entrepreneurs who want to invest and operate business projects in BC. After the entrepreneur's business plan is approved by the Province of BC, the whole family can enter the province with a work visa and meet the provincial nomination requirements to complete the family immigration. The following specific types are included:

1. Entrepreneur

  • (1) Assets of 800,000 yuan, investment of 400,000 yuan, business management experience
  • (2) Owning at least 30% of the shares of the invested enterprise
  • (3). Create 3 jobs for citizens or PR
  • (4) Personally participate in management and operation

2. Types of entrepreneurs in specific regions (Regional Entrepreneur)

  • (1) Outside Dawen area, assets of 400,000 yuan, investment of 200,000 yuan, business management experience
  • (2) Owning at least 30% of the shares of the invested enterprise
  • (3). Create more than 1 job opportunity for citizens or PR
  • (4) Personally participate in management and operation
  • (5) For farms, a feasibility report issued by a consultant approved by the Ministry of Agriculture shall be provided

3. Policy project types (Strategic Projects)

  • (1) Foreign enterprises register and open branches in BC. Provide good reports on the company's overseas operations.
  • (2) Five principal persons may be nominated
  • (3) Investment of more than 500,000 yuan
  • (4). For each person nominated, 3 jobs should be created for citizens or PR

4. Type of regional business continuity (Regional Business Succession) This type is often referred to as "retirement plan".

  • (1). The business needs to be: outside of Dawen and Abbotsford, the current owner has been in business for more than 5 years, and has at least 1 full staff except for the current owner's family
  • (2) Personal assets of RMB 400,000 and investment of RMB 200,000
