The Medical Services Plan (MSP) is a program administered by the British Columbia Health Insurance Board. It is a mandatory program for all eligible British Columbia residents. International students are eligible for MSP coverage if they have a student visa valid for six months or more and the student visa is valid continuously. But the plan has a waiting period of about three months.
